Hysteria, often historically associated with women and "feminine" conditions, did not disappear, but was simply rebranded into a cluster known as Central Sensitivity Syndromes. This work centers illness and femininity, allowing the body to be sensitive and vulnerable in an environment where it is safe, not medically scrutinized.
